I work with dogs in all life stages and with a wide range of nutritional needs, from healthy dogs whose owners simply want to feed fresh food and do it well, to dogs with complicated medical histories and multiple diagnoses.
For dogs with diagnosed medical needs, I provide individualized nutritional support, including in coordination with veterinary care and within the veterinary treatment plan. These cases are often complex, and many dogs do not fit neatly into one category. I frequently work with dogs who have more than one diagnosis, where the nutritional requirements for one have to be balanced against the needs of another.

About Sabine
My path into dog nutrition began in 2001, with researching the pet food industry: what goes into commercial dog food, how products are formulated and manufactured, how the industry is regulated, and how marketing claims compare with what is actually in the bag or can. That research led to the Dog Food Project and, in 2005, to formulating individualized fresh-food diets.
